People of all ages will enjoy seeing maple sugaring brought to life at the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center.  See how trees are tapped, view sap collection, and see the boiling process that produces pure maple syrup.  This is a 90-minute outdoor program.  Please dress in layers.  Meet at the Environmental Education Center 20 minutes early to hike to the sugar shack.  Boots are recommended.  Suggested donation $1 per person.  Saturdays 10am, Noon and 2pm.  Sundays Noon and 2pm.  Organized groups should call 908 722.1200 ext. 5332 to schedule a demonstration.  Schools may schedule for weekdays.
